Beautiful Black Women
The Whine-Wine Blog
Because every rant, rave, or whine goes down better with a great glass of wine!!
In the last few weeks, we’ve been talking about poetry. I wanted to share one of my poems as well as pay tribute to all of the strong, hopeful, caring, beautiful Black Women. For so long, we have been overlooked, stepped on, and forgotten. I ask that everyone who has a wonderful black woman in there life, tell her that you love and appreciate her. Honor her and let her know that she’s special!
Beautiful Black Women
Beautiful Black woman, what happened to your face?
Your bags are taking over and the lines are expressing the stress
Beautiful black woman what happened to you eyes
Every time I look in them I see tears you cry
Beautiful black woman what happened to your heart
Every time I ask for it you look away and frown
Beautiful black woman what happened to your smile
When I want to see it you turn it upside down
Don’t cry for me anymore
Don’t lie for me anymore
Don’t fret for me anymore
Spread your wings
Heal your soul
Feel the joy
Live
Love
Laugh
Fly
Beautiful black woman
Until next time – Enjoy the journey!
