A Little Bit of Heaven
Yes, I do believe the world is going to hell in a handbasket! With the Kavanaugh debacle, Trump’s usual craziness, and Kenya – well need I say more?! This world seems topsy-turvy. We don’t know which way is up. There’s a growing fear amongst African Americans, Hispanics, and all other minorities that this country no longer welcomes us. The Democrats and the Republicans are fiercely at each other’s throats. But, in the middle of all this madness, a little hit show on CBS, Sunday nights captured my attention and has given me hope. The show is called “God Friended Me.”

God Friended Me is a humorous, uplifting drama about an outspoken atheist whose life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from God and unwittingly becomes an agent of change in the lives and destinies of others around him. Miles Finer is intelligent, hopeful and optimistic, but he doesn't believe in God. This puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer, a beloved preacher at Harlem's Trinity Church for 25 years who is stung by his son.
With a diverse cast, this show brings heartwarming stories of forgiveness, redemption, and love. It’s a little slice of Heaven in a world where chaos has become as common as the common cold. I don’t know about you but I believe the world could use a little more hope!
